Walk MS is a 5K walk that connects people living with MS and those who care about them. When you participate in this community event, the funds you raise give hope to the more than 2.3 million people living with MS worldwide. We’ve been walking since 1988 and to date have raised more than $870 million to support life changing programs and cutting-edge research.

Here are some important reminders for Walk MS: D.C. 2015 walkers:
Due to maintenance and construction in the area surrounding The Yards Park, there will be VERY limited parking for Walk MS: D.C. Please plan on utilizing Metro or other forms of public transportation. The start line is a few blocks from the Navy Yard - New Jersey Avenue exit on the Green line.
Once off the Metro, follow the blue directional signs which will point you to the start line. Reston Limo will also be available to shuttle participants from the Navy Yard Metro station to The Yards Park.
If you are familiar with parking around The Yards Park or Nationals Stadium, there will be very limited parking in comparison to the typical parking options due to unforeseen construction and maintenance in Lot H/I at the stadium and Lot L directly next to the park.

Located just south of Capitol Hill and to the east of Nationals Ballpark, this thoughtfully designed park is a place to be active or relax and enjoy the outdoors. The entrances to the The Yards Park are located at 3rd and 4th Streets, SE and at Water Street, SE which is two blocks south of M Street, SE.

The Yards Park is easily accessible by the following modes of transportation:

Union Station--Navy Yard Route via Capitol Hill. The Circulator costs only $1 and runs every 10 minutes weekdays 6am - 9pm, Saturdays from 7am - 9pm, with extended weekend and evening service for Nationals game days. Click here for a route map and hours of operation.
Multiple Metro bus routes including the A42, A46, A48, P1, P2, V7, V8, V9 have stops along M Street, SE. Visit the Metrobus website here for bus route map and hours of operation.
Check of the DC bike map here for a list of roads with bike lanes and bike trails. The Yards Park has bike racks clustered throughout the park. Capital Bikeshare is also conveniently located at the corner of M and New Jersey Ave., SE and at corner of First St. and N St., SE.
