Step back in time by walking through neighborhoods that were host to some of the most important events in the history of Montgomery County. From a former tavern where local citizens met in 1774 to protest actions of the British Parliament to the church where Union sympathizers sought sanctuary upon the arrival of Confederate Gen. J.E.B. Stuart in 1863, our Rockville, Maryland route offers participants a fascinating glimpse into the earliest years of this city. See a map of the route.
